My last exhibition took place in October 2019 at the Second Home Expo property exhibition in Belgium, so I am thrilled to have this opportunity to present my Costa Blanca properties to a new audience.

We are thrilled to share the joy of reaching a significant milestone – two decades of successful real estate services in the beautiful Orihuela Costa. To mark this remarkable achievement, we recently hosted an unforgettable Grand 20th Anniversary Party at our centrally located offices in La Zenia.

The event brought together over 50 friends, past customers, and esteemed individuals from local charities we proudly support. It was a testament to our two decades of excellence in the Costa Blanca real estate industry and a chance to express gratitude to those who have supported us throughout our journey.

Our guest list comprised longstanding friends, loyal customers, and representatives from Help at Home Costa Blanca and Little Pod Association charities. At Inmo Investments, we are deeply committed to local engagement and giving back to our community. Therefore, including representatives from these charities allowed us to highlight the vital services they provide in Orihuela Costa and raise much-needed funds for their respective causes.

The evening began with a warm welcome from our founders, Alexander and Denisse, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone present. Denisse organized a lavish spread of party food, canapés, and sandwiches, complemented by a diverse selection of fine wines, beers, and refreshing soft drinks.

One of the highlights of the evening was the awards ceremony, where Alexander recognized and honoured the hard work and dedication of our team. Awards were presented in various categories unique to our industry, acknowledging excellence in customer service, marketing innovation, and sales successes.

The ceremony underscored our collective commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, learning, and continuous improvement. Live music added a delightful touch to the celebration, featuring outstanding vocal performances from our talented team members and a personalized acoustic guitar performance from our friend and client, David.

The centrepiece of the party was a Grand Charity Raffle to raise funds for two vital local charities. Prizes included a personal skincare gift bag from Rituals Cosmetics, a luxury spa day and buffet at the Thalasia Hotel in San Pedro del Pinatar, and one week of car hire completely free of charge, courtesy of Tate House Holiday Rentals in San Miguel de Salinas.

The fabulous prizes also included a first prize travel voucher from our good neighbours, Worldwide Horizons Travel Agency in La Zenia, worth a cool 200€. The event served as a platform for expressing our gratitude, celebrating our achievements, and reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional service for many more years to come.

Looking back on our Grand 20th Anniversary Party, we consider it one of the most memorable events in our company’s history. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to celebrate with us, with special appreciation for the representatives of the charities who spent the evening with us. Thanks to the generous contributions from our guests, we raised 250€ for Help at Home Costa Blanca and the Little Pod Association animal charity.

As we eagerly anticipate the next 20 years, this event stands as a testament to our continued dedication to serving both our customers and the Orihuela Costa community.

A PLACE IN THE SUN has graced UK TV screens for 21 years. First broadcast at the turn of the millennium back in 2000, the show has garnered an enviable reputation as a source of inspiration for a generation of British overseas property hunters, dreamers, and travel addicts.

Often considered a cultural and lifestyle icon, over the past two decades the A Place in the Sun show has racked up more than 1.000 episodes and visited some of the most popular travel destinations in Southern Europe.

The television programme has led to popular spin-off series including “A Place in the Sun: Winter Sun”, “A Place in the Sun: Home or Away?”, and “A Place in the Sun: By the Sea”.

Filmed entirely on location, the A Place in the Sun film crew have made a name for themselves by bringing sun-soaked Mediterranean locations from Southern Europe to British TV screens. But diverse locations such as Slovenia, Canada, Australia, South Africa, the Caribbean and even Cape Verde have sometimes been showcased over the years.

A Place in the Sun, Channel 4’s iconic British lifestyle TV show

Every episode of the programme shows a British couple wishing to buy a property in a sunny oversea location. A presenter shows three to five properties within their stated budget found by the show’s researchers. Typically, the presenter gives the couple useful local information relating to buying, running and maintaining a property in this particular location.

After viewing each property the couple are asked for their opinions. At the end of the show they are asked if they have a favourite property and viewers are finally told if they proceeded to buy a property, or whether they continue their search in another region of the country.

Originally presented by Amanda Lamb, the show has attracted an array of British acting talent over past two decades, and today A Place in the Sun is presented by a new generation of professional presenters including Jasmine Harman, Lee Juggurnauth, Leah Charles-King, and international property expert, Laura Hamilton.

Over the years A Place in the Sun has inspired thousands of Brits to take the plunge and buy a property abroad, and the show’s popularity has proven remarkably bulletproof despite the ravages of a global pandemic and the UK’s departure from the European Union.

The TV programme that inspired a generation to live abroad

Today, A Place in the Sun is still a TV show which comes up during conversations with my British clients. It has motivated many to take the first step and make contact with my team in Spain, and I have had many buyers contacting me about properties in areas they have seen on the show.

Show researchers contact local estate agents in the area to be featured in each programme before filming begins, and over the years Inmo Investments have often been called upon to provide suitable properties for inclusion.

This week is no exception, and some of most exclusive and luxurious properties feature in this weeks broadcasts. Filming originally took place in September this year on location in Orihuela Costa, in both Villamartin and La Zenia.
